Ladner to Bellingham
All British Run
11/3/2003
Ladner to Bellingham Run (8th annual), hosted by the Vancouver Coast Branch of the Old English Car Club of B.C. The Run commemorates the London to Brighton Run of November 1896, which celebrated the emancipation of the automobile in Britain. Prior to that date, vehicles in Britain had to be preceded by a person displaying a red warning flag and were severely regulated. Ladner to Bellingham is of similar distance to the original (about 100 kms) and is open to vehicles of British manufacture, regardless of age.
I have to apologise to all those that waved at me and thought I was taking their picture. I am using a digital camera to shoot these events, as film costs real money not digital money. Great savings of cash but at the expense of speed. Quite often after shooting a few photos I must wait for the camera to "write" to a memory card. I would have a pic of each car but I got to Ladner at 8:45 thinking I had over an hour to shoot. Things change so hopefully I will get each car next year!!!
Please e-mail me with a year and manufacture of your car so I can post it by the picture.
